SHGSIC engages in various maritime activities, including ship repair, shipbuilding, ship conversion, scrapping, offshore engineering construction, maintenance, harbor machinery, steel fabrication, provision of shipping spare parts, heat-dip galvanization, project construction, wharf loading/unloading, and storage services. The company adheres to the GB/T I9001-2000-ISO system standard, obtained the authority for direct import/export business in 1995, and acquired harbor & mooring management authorization in 2001.

Chengxi Shipyard has successfully secured contracts for the construction of four vessels based on their in-house designs, in addition to the previously acquired orders for four 82,600DWT bulk carriers in July.

Furthermore, on July 21st, Schoeller from Cyprus expanded their order by placing an additional request for two 50,000DWT Chemical/Product Oil Tankers, supplementing the two vessels of the same type ordered in June.

On July 27th, the Greek company TMS Group finalized a newbuilding agreement for two 82,600DWT bulk carriers.

As of now, Chengxi’s newbuilding orderbook has reached a milestone of twenty-five ships, encompassing various types such as Multipurpose heavy-lift vessels, Chemical/Product Oil Tankers, Asphalt Tankers, and bulk carriers, among others.

Fujian Huadong Shipyard, situated in Bili Township, Luoyuan County, Fujian Province, commenced operations in 2011. Covering an area of approximately 700,000 square meters, it boasts a deep water coastline extending 2,250 meters. As a crucial ship repair facility on the southeast coast of China, the shipyard features dry docks of 300,000 tons, 170,000 tons, and 100,000 tons, along with a tonnage slipway, a 1,200-meter ship repair dock, and production facilities spanning 60,000 square meters, including workshops and factory buildings equipped with corresponding machinery.
